shine for the ocean

This project focuses on raising awareness of marine life that is threatened by human actions. The natural ecology can function normally and maintain its proper balance without human beings. However, human mixing and curiosity “facilitated” the distance between the two types of species, making the originally clean ocean difficult to breed life. Excessive sea fishing by humans also makes it difficult for fish to survive. Therefore, what we would like to appeal to and remind everyone is that the best way to treat marine ecology is to keep a certain distance so that they have their own ecological environment, and don’t try to be closer to them by putting them in the aquarium, this is just a self-righteous harmony that human thought it was. Hence, The idea tackled on SDG 14th which is about life below water.

As you see from this interactive installation there are 8 fishes tangled with led lights. This fish is made out of acrylic and laser cut to form the fishes. The blue led is wrapped along the fish to represent the natural state while the red led represents that the fish is in danger when u can see the bones of the fishes. The Led on top of the ceiling represents the water flowing inside and the fish swim out represent and there’s sub led to create the atmosphere with a sense of danger when the fishes turns into red . Cross-lighting different groups of fish demonstrates related biodiversity.

Using LED installations, this project raises awareness of the impact of human activity on marine life and promotes maintaining a safe distance from sea creatures to prevent harm and promote conservation
