HEAT ESCAPE is the title of our anamorphic illusion project, that targets on SDG 17th, Climate Action. This project has participated in INYALA Beyond Light Competition 2022, and won The BEST New Media Art Award, and The BEST Creativity Award.

“Heat Escape” is a digital creation with Anamorphic Illusion in two specific panels (this required audience to stand in a specific angle and distance for best viewing) and supportive motion in other sides on a cube screen. It focuses on the 13th SDG – Climate Action. The graphics animation is created based on audio data of news and sounds related to disaster happened caused by human. The uneasy feeling that is created both visually and auditorily aims to raise the awareness of the audience about global warming issues.
The conceptual sphere in an anamorphic view symbolizes our mother earth. The changes of the shapes and elements on it represent each act of human to our earth – Deforestation, Air Pollution, and Water Pollution, which ultimately causes global warming. Earth will find its way to recover, but if humans continue the exploitation, the loop will never end, and the extinction of human being will be inevitable.
How are we going to escape from this?
Sound data collected from climate action are used with music and sync with animation movement to communicate our idea in a unique and easy to perceive way that people from different ages can understand although it is in an abstract form. We hope that our project inspires and raises the awareness of how important our Earth is to all living things. If climate action keeps happening, it will affect everyone living on it. With that, the team hopes to prevent the prediction of Earth from happening. In order to achieve this, full cooperation from all people is needed to change the current situation. For now, stop neglecting the voices would make a change.
